We recommend using the Cool Pet Pad indoors in a cool, dry environment. While it's designed to work on all types of surfaces and dog beds, the pad is NOT recommended for use in direct sunlight or hot air, as the technology works by absorbing heat from the highest heat source. It's best if this source is your pet, not the environment!
 

USAGE REMINDER – READ BEFORE USE
This product is pressure-activated and works best indoors or in shaded, temperature-controlled environments. It will not cool effectively if it has been exposed to direct sunlight, a hot car, or any warm environment. The pad will absorb the heat around it, making it ineffective until cooled down.

DO NOT leave it in: 

• A hot car
• Direct sunlight

If you're using it in a car that’s been parked in the heat, place a towel or blanket on the seat first before setting the pad down. This prevents it from immediately absorbing heat from the hot surface. If you're camping or traveling in an RV, we recommend storing the pad in an air-conditioned area or cooler kept in the shade to help maintain its effectiveness when needed.
 
 
To reactivate cooling: Always bring it indoors and let it return to room temperature. It will naturally reset—no water, fridge, or electricity needed.
 

For a jump start on cooling, you can put it in the refrigerator or even the freezer!

Care Instructions

Use soft cloth. Clean with mild soap, wipe clean with water. Allow to dry completely before use or storage. Store in a cool, dry, location. If planning to store for an extended period of time, sealing the product in the bag provided in packaging may increase useful life.

This product is not meant for consumption. While the gel is non-toxic, we always recommend taking your pet to the veterinarian if they ingest any part of the Cool Pet Pad.  In some cases, allergic reaction can occur which can affect the health of your pet. If your pet is prone to chewing, DO NOT leave it unattended with the Cool Pet Pad.

Also, please DO NOT LEAVE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT, HEAT OR HOT AIR. This will affect the performance of the cooling mat. See the description above for ways to get the best use out of your cooling mat.
